SCHOOL TIME!!!

School Time oh hang on I mean Home school. Yep you are most likely thinking. Wow she is brave or really Amy doing that that is not her. Well thats right its not me its God.

Rhianna, Justin, and Yes Makiah all doing school work.

 Let me take you back to the begenning of 2011. We had just had a teachers meeting with Rhianna's teacher in the fall of 2010 she asked us to get Rhianna checked for ADHD. We put that off till we had another meeting with her and the school counsler till early spring. At this point we did not know what was going on with Rhianna's learning and what to do. But after that meeting and then another about 4weeks later. Brian and I sat down and prayed about what needed to be done. We where to have another meeting with the school to find out where she was what was going to happen inthe next year for Rhianna.This meeting never happend.
Well then God stepped in. Rhianna was getting ready for bed and I was in the room talking to her and I noticed that she had some brusing on her back I asked her what happend. Well at first she did not want to say. So after a few min's she told us she was hit by a girl that had been a friend and an enemy the whole time we have been here. So that was the last full week of school for Rhianna. Then for 2 weeks we where in constant prayer and seeking. Well low and behold with all that prayign and seeking God kept showing us each day what we wanted us to do. So for sure Rhianna was going to be homeschooled  We where ok with sending Justin to school till the phone rang while I was having a nice shopping trip with my Bestie. Here is where God showed us his full plan for our family.
It was Justin's teacher (on the phone) to tell me he was not feeling well and why. She said he was fine and that I need not to come pick him up. The reason my son got sick at school was cause he was told by a classmate of his a very detailed story of something no 6 year old boy should learn at that age. So that night Brian and I said to each other "That was our sign." So that brings us to the hear and now. Our homeschooing adventure that God is derecting everystep and filling everypage with his hand.

Being apart of this ever changing military life is hard. I have made great friends thus this far and I know that I will make more. But this has been the hardest season in my life. But I know where ever I am I can count an not just these people but others from around the world. May friends from Christ keep lifting you up.

Back to the Basics.



This song keeps comign back to Brian and I. We have tossed the wording  around seriously for 6 months. We talked about and Prayed about it. Then God just kept showing us the simple thing that made us think. One thing about getting to the basics is getting in to the Word of God each day. We have set aside time to do this just Brian and I. Then now with Homeschooling starting the kids will start their day off in the word of God. Not only is it just the word of God its the simple things that we need to do daily.

I know some of you are looking at the word Homeschooling and thinking what has Amy lost her mind. Funny right. Well that was one thing God showed us in this new adventure. That we can still be in the world but not of the world. But the way schools are going God showed us daily for 2 weeks strait that that is not what he wanted for our kids. I'm not putting down teachers at all. I have had great teachers come in and out of my life and I love them dearly. It was many things that God showed us what he wants us to do for our kids learning to love and live more like Christ. I love the fact that We have had such a great support group backing us and praying for us daily for this new adventure God has set us on. One of my favorite saying for our Church can in AZ is It takes a church to raise a child. The verse the comes to mind is Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Well I know that I have rambled on today. But I know that those of you who read this will be Praying for us.

What summer is here?

Wow, Summer is here. We have been so busy with school trips and Softball/baseball, moving to a new house and traveling the last 4 months everything has just sliped under and out the door.
Well there is so much to say but what I'm going to do is show you pic's first. The one on top was taken Good Friday. Yes I know that was 3 months ago. It was a nice sunny day and we just took the day and walked around Aviano.

I do not have any Pictures of the Baseball/softball season because Brian and I where coaching Rhianna softball team. That was just a great time. Learning how to work with my husband and his crazy work and blance home life and the team. Plus on top of all that the houseing office decied the we needed to move cause of some errors on the landlords part. But God worked it all out and we are in a home just like our other one and it will work for the next 9 months.
Yep I said 9 months. 9 months left in Italy and there is so much more to see. But we will get there in time. I know that you have seen plunty of my Carivale pics I have been doing more with other places we have been. One is the beach. Yep the beach. Corole beach is really a family friendly beach. More pic's.

I did not take many there. To much fun to be had.

Well I must be off but so much more to come from the Greene's wonderings from Germany and many other places and some new things in our daily lives.

March Madness!!!!!!

March is crazy for us. We have a lot that happens. We at least try to make it to Carnivle in Venice and we did. Rhianna's birthday, St. Patty's day, Plus tons of other things that go on thru church or sports.


March is a great start to the warmer weather. I miss Az for the fact its already mid 70's there. But here we are running in the 50's.
Not a whole lot going on right now but as the month goes on we will get busy between Church, sports and Photo shoots we will be busy. Oh yeah you seen that I said Photo shoots. Yep Brian and I have a few jobs coming up this month to keep us busy and to get used to doing this together. Your most likly think Brian camera what? I got him hooked on Photography. He and I have been praying about what is next after he is done with the Air Force. Well Most likly we are going to set up our own Photography studio. I love what I do and Brian is really starting to like it. He is more in to nature Photography and the Tech side of it. But he helps in many other ways of Portrait photography. Well I must be going. There is always something to do in a house of 5.

I have a love hate relationship with FEB.

Well To catch you up to speed Brian is in the states. It is on a very sad note. His last grandfather Grandpa Greene past last week. So he went to be home with his family. Also 5 years ago Brian left for one of tha hardest deployments I think we went thur. At that same time his other grandfather know as PAPA Daniel past. Then 3years ago he left for Korea Wich a year after that brought us here to Italy Last year we went to Venice for Carnivale. So you can see why I have a love hate relationship with FEB.
Here is an update on the kids. Rhianna is going to be tested in a few weeks for some learning issues. We are hopeing to find out what to do to help her be a better student. Her b-day is coming up quick. She will be 9. WOW. But other then that she has been bladder infection free for almost 2 years. Praise the Lord!
Now Justin. I jsut have to say he is growing so much. He is loveing that he can read and he is trying to read books that a little to hard for him.
Him and Rhianna love to play outside all day long if I let them.
NOW MAKIAH. Well for starters she is still a spit fire. A few weeks ago we swithed that girls rooms and gave Makiah Rhianna's twin bed. While we did that we got Rhianna a new bed and a few other things that we needed. One was a small chair I was painting black. After I was letting something dry over night the next morning before I was get ready to finish Makiah got in to the paint. Yep and guess what! It was black paint on white tile flooring. I was able to clea her and the paint up. Yep Makiah is in to everything. I mean everything. She is so funny too. I guess that helps cause it helps me not get to angery at her.
As for me not much workign on school. Loveing every minute that I do it. I'm loving learing new things about my camera and new ways of seeing the world thur a lens. Here is one pic I took the other day. It's the mountins that are behind our house.

2011 is going to be even better.

Wow 2010 was a great year. But 2011 is going to be even better. Well now to get you all caught up in our lives.
For 2011 I am going to school. Yes school is what I said. It is at The New York Institute of Photography. I have been wanting to do this for awhile just never had enough time. But I had prayed a long time for God to give me time. Well He did. It was him making me looking at things differently. And now I do. Other things that I have start to do is taking time for just me spending time with God first and then taking care of my body. One way I took time for myself this year was taking a trip by myself. I went to AZ for my older sister wedding. In that time I had time with family and friends. It was a great time. Even though I missed Brian and the kids but it was much needed.

Well now on to everyone else. Brian is back to work now. He took some of the holidays off and time off to watch the kids while I was on vaction. He knew my job as a mother was not easy he has never said that. But he has a new respect for mother that have toddlers at home, and tryign to get the other to school and all the other daily duties that a mother and wife have. He did such a great jopb with them that I think I sould go off by myself more often. Yeah right!! A least not for a while.


Rhianna is doing well. We have started to push her a little harder on her school work. We wanted to do this to show here that she can handle anythign taht is brought to her. Her grades have improved by doign this. Still praying that she is hiding God word in her heart.

Justin is still loving school. When I got home last week we sat down and I asked him to go get a book. I tested him on his reading. Well he is off to a great start. I think it caught him off gaurd that he was reading a book a real book.

Now Makiah. When I got hoem she would not let me out of her sight. Now its still the same. but not as bad. She just won't let me get much doen around that house and with school work but we are working on that one day at a time.
